Players Please 3-D counter card. On the rear piece is the profile of a young woman with a fashionable hairstyle. This is viewed through a circular aperture cut through the front piece which has a mosaic design. In the bottom right hand corner is the sailor in a life-buoy trade mark. The text on the card reads " Players // Please // " Its the Tobacco that counts". On the reverse is a label which reads " MARDONS // WINDOW NOVELTIES // EMBOSSED SHOWCARDS / &C, &C // VARNISHERS // GELATINERS & FRAME MAKERS // BRISTOL & LONDON.". There is also a hand-written note which reads " C97" and a second which reads " 16"
