Players Navy Cut Medium tobacco rectangular counter card. The background is green. In the centre is a tin of Medium tobacco which pulls forward to stand approx 20mm proud of the card. The text reads " Handy for the Pocket // and // Ready for the Pipe // TWO OUNCE // POCKET TINS // 2/1 each. // JOHN PLAYER & SONS, NOTTINGHAM". On the reverse is a support to allow the card to stand upright and a hanging loop. There is a faded, hand-written note which reads " Mr A Doughty // Approved // 1-3-28". There is also a rubber stamp with hand-written amendments which reads " TRADE MARKS DEPT // I T CO LTD // 24 FEB 1928 // APPROVED // RMER // for use in Great // Britain and // Northern Ireland // only."
