Roll Call Cigarettes and Tobacco, 1921
Players Roll Call cigarettes and tobacco rectangular, convex counter card. The background is black with a narrow red, gold and green, art-deco style border. Top centre is the head and shoulders of an officer wearing an elaborate hat with gold braid and a large feather plume. He is wearing a red tunic with gold braid and fur trim. He has a handle-bar moustache and is smoking a long-stemmed clay pipe. The text on the card reads " PLAYERs // " ROLL CALL" // TOBACCO and // CIGARETTES // John Player & Sons, // Nottingham." On the reverse is a hanging loop and a support to allow the card to stand upright. There is a label which reads " MARDONS // WINDOW NOVELTIES // EMBOSSED SHOWCARDS / &C, &C // VARNISHERS // GELATINERS & FRAME MAKERS // BRISTOL & LONDON."

Environmentally and ozone friendly, 40mm wide x 15mm Polycore® moulding has the look of real wood, is durable and light and easy to hang.
