Drumhead Cigarettes, 1920=21

Players Drumhead Cigarettes counter card in a roughly triangular shape. In the centre is a drummer boy with a pack on his back, wearing a busby, elaborate tailed coat, white breeches and gaiters. He is standing on a pack of 10 Drumhead cigarettes and is surrounded by other packets. Above him is a banner at either end of which is a drum with the insignia and battle honours of the Queens Royal Lancers. The text on the banner reads " PLAYERs // " DRUMHEAD" // CIGARETTES". A panel on the left hand side reads " 10 // FOR // 4D." and a similar panel on the right hand side reads " 20 // FOR // 8D.". Attached to the card with masking tape is a paper label which reads " Approx // 1920-1". On the reverse is the remains of a mechanism to allow the card to stand upright and a hand-written note which reads " C73"
