Navy Cut Medium cigarettes, 1924

Player's Navy Cut Medium cigarettes in three, tiered sections. The back section is the tallest and comprises packs of cigarettes and a box of cigarettes which has the Castle trade mark as well as the sailor in a life-buoy trade mark. The mid-section is similarly compose of packs of cigarettes and a box of cigarettes with the Castle trade mark as well as the sailor in a life-buoy trade mark. Above the box is a banner with the text "PLAYER'S". The front section, which is the lowest displays packs of cigarettes, One is open and two others have collecting cards protruding. The three sections are connected by a foot, the left and right sides of which have broken off and the back section has become detached. On the reverse is a hand-written note which reads "C117" and there is a printed note which reads "TO DISPLAY // HOLD BY TOP AND // PRESS DOWN ON TO // COUNTER // N.B. // if this display is // required to be closed // bring two struts into // centre first."

Drumhead Cigarettes, 1920=21

Player's Drumhead Cigarettes counter card in a roughly triangular shape. In the centre is a drummer boy with a pack on his back, wearing a busby, elaborate tailed coat, white breeches and gaiters. He is standing on a pack of 10 Drumhead cigarettes and is surrounded by other packets. Above him is a banner at either end of which is a drum with the insignia and battle honours of the Queen's Royal Lancers. The text on the banner reads "PLAYER'S // "DRUMHEAD" // CIGARETTES". A panel on the left hand side reads "10 // FOR // 4D." and a similar panel on the right hand side reads "20 // FOR // 8D.". Attached to the card with masking tape is a paper label which reads "Approx // 1920-1". On the reverse is the remains of a mechanism to allow the card to stand upright and a hand-written note which reads "C73".

Weights Cigarettes, 1925

Player's Weights 3-D counter card depicting a cross country race. On the rear section is a countryside scene with a river and fences and a number of figures running. The front sections shows the near-bank of the river and three runners, one of which is climbing over a stile. In the bottom left hand corner is a pack of cigarettes. The text reads "PLAYER'S "WEIGHTS" // 5 // FOR 2d // 10 FOR 4d // CIGARETTES". An adhesive pad has been stuck to the inside of the back section, so that the front and back cannot be separated. On the reverse is a hand-written note which reads "C95" and a label which reads "MARDONS // WINDOW NOVELTIES // EMBOSSED SHOWCARDS / &C, &C // VARNISHERS // GELATINERS & FRAME MAKERS // BRISTOL & LONDON."."
