Players Navy Mixture tobacco rectangular counter card. This comprises two ruby-red horizontal panels with gold borders against a beige or stone background. The top panel is twice the size of the lower panel and the two are connected by a large blue circle. In the foreground are three packets of Navy Mixture tobacco in a pyramid. There is a hanging loop to the top. The text on the card reads " PLAYERs " NAVY" MIXTURE // JOHN PLAYER & SONS, NOTTINGHAM". On the reverse is a hand-written note " Approved" and a label which reads " MARDONS // WINDOW NOVELTIES // EMBOSSED SHOWCARDS / &C, &C // VARNISHERS // GELATINERS & FRAME MAKERS // BRISTOL & LONDON."
